Bleak House Rentals
Bleak House, one of the premier wedding sites in this area, has been the choice of brides throughout its long history – and it is still available for your once-in-a-lifetime event. Located on Kingston Pike and overlooking the crescent bend of the Tennessee River, its Tuscan-style mansion and spacious grounds offer limitless possibilities for personalized wedding plans. Spacious Bleak House is historic; it decorates beautifully; it can be transformed into your very own fantasy hide-a-way for your special day; and it is affordable! Most of the information you need to begin your planning is included below, but you must see Bleak House to appreciate fully its unique beauty and potential.

Location: 3148 Kingston Pike. It is less than one-half mile west of Neyland Drive on one of Knoxville’s most prestigious old streets.
FACILITIES
The Gardens will accommodate an almost unlimited number of guests. The
gardens – over three acres, designed and planted over 100 years ago,
– descend gracefully to the river. There are five terraced levels. Each
level is grassed and flat and will accommodate chairs and tents. You
may select a site to allow viewing by many guests or choose a more intimate
location. The landscaping is especially rustic and photogenic; fountains,
ponds, ancient shrubs, wisteria, and “special settings” abound. The
garden is a favorite of local photographers. There are dozens of sites
for the ceremony, reception, and photos. And the choices are yours –
including stately Bleak House!
Bleak House (circa 1858), approximately 10,000 square feet, will accommodate about 150 people (at one time) for a reception and 75 for a sit-down meal. Using the large terrace, these numbers can be expanded significantly. And you actually have use of the house! Much of the historic house is available to you for dressing, food, drink, mingling, and photos.
Parking is no problem. There are provisions for weddings of all sizes – and a traffic control and security officer is provided.
COST
Today’s cost for an eight-hour block of time on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday in prime season (April – October) is $2,900. This includes a coordinator to help with vendor selection, ceremony rehearsal, and reception coordinating to make your special day a success! This also includes free rehearsal and photographic sessions on previous days and uniformed police for traffic safety and discreet security at your wedding. Want to save? Want to save? A reservation and security deposit will ensure your date and lock in your cost at the current rate.

Although Bleak House does not offer “all-inclusive packages,” we can provide the same convenience to you. Our Wedding Coordinator can recommend the very best and dependable professionals and assist in coordinating your complete plan. We have extensive experience with the leading providers and know their specialties and performance. Prices among providers for specific levels of service are surprisingly comparable, and we can make sure that you select the very best and get the most for your money. Although we can coordinate planning sessions, we have no financial arrangement with any providers; our only interest is to assist you in making your perfect wedding perfect indeed. Or you can assemble your own package. We can be surprisingly flexible in simplifying your plans.
